Author Schedule for July 2010

I had a great time at Village Bookmarket, Palmyra, NY on Saturday, June 5th meeting wonderful readers. Thank-you Marcia at Village Bookmarket, and thank-you to all who came and shared conversation and laughs, supported me and of course for purchasing my book, Dear Daisy. Located in Historic Palmyra a stop along the Erie Canal, Village Bookmarket is "A little store that's BIG on service. BOOKS: Used, Rare, Hard-to-Find, Out-of-Print, Old & Almost New, Local History, Local Authors, Wide Range of subjects, Hardcover, Paperback, Book Searches, Book Repair".

There are big events happening in Palmyra during July including the Mormon Hill Cumorah Pageant and the connection to local history; bike tour along the Erie Canal with stop off at Palmyra; and the ongoing town Museum and local history tours.

July 17 & 18, 2010, the Hamlet at Pultneyville (located along Lake Ontario in the Town of Williamson, NY) celebrates the 53rd annual Pultneyville Homecoming Festival. Art show, antique show (Centennial Park), antique auto show as part of the parade, fund raising donation-auction, food booths, and theatre performances at Gates Hall return in tradition.

New this year, Wine & Jazz Fest, a primitive and folk art gathering, and a "Positively Pultnevyille" Art Show & Sale hosted by Artisans' Loft. For details about the festival and schedule:

Dear Daisy is available for purchase at Artisans' Loft. I will be attending the festival Saturday, more than likely gawking and shopping at the antiques areas and at the Artisans Loft. I hate to say I will be leaving before the chicken bbq on Saturday. I love the Pultneyville Fireman's chicken bbq, but I have a date with my camera and another event. More details later -but I will say this much - something I have always wanted to do...I am going to do. Clue- answer can be found in Dear Daisy.

Seneca Falls Arts Festival, July 24 (one day only). I (Rising Sparrow Press) have an invite and confirmation from festival and will be bringing several local authors along for this event. Meet local authors from Williamson, Marion, Canandaigua, Rochester and have a copy of their books autographed. Authors list is now being compiled and I will update as available prior to the Festival. Seneca Falls, Woman's Rights, beautiful Seneca Lake one of NYS Finger Lakes all near-by. The Festival and Art Show is happening Saturday, July 24th, 2010 (10 AM-4 PM) at People's Park, Seneca Falls.

Next stop, another Historic place along the Erie Canal is Macedon, NY. July 31st 2 PM I will be at Books Etc. of Macedon. Here, I will sit down a spell in the quiet, peaceful space John Ceislinki creates at Books Etc., a coffee in hand, to share stories about writing Dear Daisy, the process of writing to independent publishing, swap stories with readers, and share a sneak peek of my next novel, Rising Sparrow.
